Parbaking Bread – What the Heck is That?
Parbaking is a cooking technique in which a bread is partially baked and then rapidly frozen for use at a later time. Since the bread is partially cooked you get to finish the baking in your own home. Getting all the wonderful aromas of freshly baked bread and of course the bread is warm and delicous.
Parbaking is a convenient way to have fresh bread on hand at all times. Parbaked bread can last a long time in your freezer, up to 9 months.
How to Store your Bread in the Freezer
Our Parbaked bread comes in a plastic bag with labels and then in a Freezer Bag. Place your bread in your freezer and make sure it does not come into contact with the sides of the freezer, this could lead to freezer burn. The bread has a label of when it was parbaked, it is a good idea to use a Sharpie to put the date you put the bread in the freezer.
Cooking the Parbaked Bread
Remove your bread from the freezer, let it completely thaw. Pre heat your oven to 475, when the oven is ready remove the bread from all the bags and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, the crust should turn a beautiful shade of golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool before slicing the bread. Then enjoy your freshly baked bread.
